"The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness."
As I embark on this new journey of starting this daily scripture and podcast of Real Life, Real Faith - I reflect on how long it's taken for the Lord to have me in this position to pour my energy into this, into those who read and listen. I had to walk through valleys to get here. The belief that we're able to do things on our own time, our own way and without help, is setting ourselves up for disappointment and ultimately not allowing God to do the work in our lives to see a beautiful new beginning. From as little as waking up in the morning with fresh air in our lungs to a new job, a new opportunity, for me to start this with no idea where it's going to take me or others; it's all for His glory. I'm forever in awe of His love and faithfulness through those valleys that were painful and felt as if it was never ending.
Where in your life do you see that there are new mercies, new opportunities, new beginning in your life that you can reflect on and think, "Wow, He has been steadfast and faithful for me, even when I didn't see it or haven't recognized it yet?" Or are there mountains you're climbing where you can't see the top and don't have faith in the One who is walking alongside you, waiting for you to see that you're not alone? Rest in the peace that He IS with you, always, even when it doesn't feel like it. And believe that his mercies never come to an end for you.
